25+ years of beautiful windows in Hampton Roads, Virginia Beach & Richmond

Our Story

A Family Business Built on Excellence

At Capitol Blinds & Shutters, we believe great window treatments start with people you can trust. As a family-owned business, that idea shapes everything about how we work: we show up when we say we will, we give honest advice about what will truly work for your windows, and we stand behind every project with our name.

Behind every project is a trusted installation team with more than 25 years of hands-on experience. They’ve worked in homes of every style and size, from historic properties to new construction, and with the brands we believe in most, including Hunter Douglas, Alta, United Supply, Universal Window Coverings, and Draper. That depth of experience means fewer surprises, precise fits, and results that look and work beautifully for years.

We pay close attention to the details that make a difference. Every window is measured carefully, every product is chosen to fit how you use the room, and every installation is checked before we leave. Whether it’s one room or the whole house, we make sure it’s done right.
